Ellis County Thoroughfare Plan Update

Planning is underway for the Ellis County Thoroughfare Plan Update to address long-term transportation needs across the county. The plan will be coordinated with locally adopted city plans as well as plans and programs of adjacent counties and TxDOT. It will place an emphasis on connectivity within Ellis County and improving access to regional corridors. The plan will also help guide growth and development within the county by identifying the location and type of transportation needs to meet anticipated short- and long-range growth. The thoroughfare plan update is expected to be completed in August 2019.

To better serve residents, the County will host two public meetings to gather input from the public regarding long-term mobility, key issues, and needs. Information presented at the two meetings will be identical, and it will only be necessary to attend one. Light refreshments will be served.
